Our Coaches, Liam and Lia, flew to Billund, Denmark with a team of 48 young, talented players from all over England. We were welcomed by Middlefart Badminton Club to partake in a week-long intensive training camp and oh what a week it was!

The camp, led by Li-Ning sponsors, Stephen Willis, Mel Davey and Danish side Carsten Jensen welcomed us on the 19th August beginning the British hopeful's week long camp filled with all things badminton such as; fitness drills, technical sessions and fun filled Danish games. These sessions were led by some of the best coaches that Denmark has to offer and of course the DKWay coaching staff including our very own WILDCATS, Lia and Liam.

The juniors also got to visit a Danish school making friends and the chance to experience the culture at its best, whilst getting to play activities with the locals. There was further sightseeing in the local Danish area and we even got to go to the coast. The Viking challenge was a highlight for all (what happens in Denmark stays in Denmark). Evenings were filled with games, time for relaxing and most importantly well-earned catered for dinners.

The DKWay Camp is an experience that none of the players will forget, taking away worthwhile training advice back into the UK. The summer camp is looking forward to its 14th edition in 2024 - it was a pleasure to be asked to coach and share this experience with such amazing people. Hopefully we will see many of you joining us in the future!
